______

i have spent my time in purgatory
visions coated in a milky white veil of smoke
which clings to the walls of my lungs
and floods every thought

there are no angels or demons here
no gods or monsters
a realm where time
is an idea never dreamt

indefinitely wandering with lost souls
the infernal suffering has already begun

black holes lie in the shadows
like leeches in murky water

time may not exist here
but my bones are splintering
and if you can handle hell
you’ll know heaven
